- Machine Operating experience required in manufacturing - training given

Two temp to permanent positions, Operating Steel, Slitter machines, training will commence on a day shift and then move into an afternoon shift.
**EASTERN CREEK LOCATION**

**Shift times: Day 6am-2.30pm Arvo 2pm - 10.30pm**

An independently owned company with almost 50 years experience in the Australian steel building industries.

**About the role**
Slitting process: involves the operation of dividing a single wide strip of metal into narrower strips (also called mults or strands). Popular products made from slitting include building products, roofing products automotive components, roller doors and mining equipment for the commercial and residential industries.

**Responsibilities**:

- Adherence to safety and other policies and procedures
- Safe operation of processing machinery including maintenance
- Material processing, handling, strapping and loading
- Manufacturing of quality goods to Customer’s requirements
- Training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
- General housekeeping activities
- Participation in toolbox and team meetings

**Key skills and attributes**:

- Previous experience in steel industries and slitting preferable
- Current forklift license
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail - material cutting/slitting to specifications
- Ability to work in a team environment
