The Gateways Support Services vision is to help provide support for children and adults with a disability and their families to maximise their quality of life.

We are looking for a dedicated disability support worker to join the friendly, supportive and positive Residential Support Worker team in
**East Geelong** for a
**part time, 49.5 hours per fortnight** opportunity.

**The role**:
You will take an active and holistic role in providing support and assistance to people with disabilities within a residential setting.

**At Gateways we work on a fortnightly, Week 1/ Week 2 roster, our work weeks run Thursday to Wednesday. The roster for this position is as follows**:
**Week 1**:
Sunday - 8:45am to 5:00pm

Tuesday - 7:00am to 9:45am & 2:45pm - 10:00pm (Sleepover)

Wednesday - 7:00am to 9:30am & 2:45pm - 9:00pm

**Week 2**:
Thursday - 7:00am to 9:45am

Saturday - 4:45pm to 10:00pm (Sleepover)

Sunday - 7:00am to 9:00am

Tuesday - 7:00am to 9:45am & 2:45pm - 10:00pm (Sleepover)

Wednesday - 7:00am to 9:30am

**What you will need to start with us**
- A passion for supporting people to live their best lives.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- A current Victorian Driver's License
- Working with Children Check (Or willing to obtain one)
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (Or willing to obtain one)
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Or willing to obtain one)
- Covid vaccination

Shortlisted applicants will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission online Worker Orientation training module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’ prior to attending induction. This is a pre-employment requirement and if not completed, employment will not proceed.
