Ui/ux Designer

An exciting opportunity for an experienced UI/UX Designer to play a key role to enhance and collaborate with the existing internal design team to create an engaging user experience, coupled with creating continuous improvement initiatives. If you are a Designer who is looking to boost their career located in Sydney, this is an exciting two-year fixed term contract for you.

**The Role**:
As an experienced UI/UX specialist you will be responsible for designing and optimising UX and creating visually appealing UI. As the UI/UX Designer you will work collaboratively with functional owners to effectively map the Customer Journey, UI Design, Usability testing to develop user centric interface designs.

This role is responsible for creating wireframes, storyboards, userflows and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design Ideas.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee UI/UX component of bespoke web Application Products.
- Conduct user research, evaluate user feedback to incorporate and inform design decisions.
- Influence the product direction and work closely with the business to co-develop the product vision, strategy, and roadmap/product journey from the front-end perspective.
- Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
- Translate business and user requirements into design systems, design patterns, and visually appealing user interfaces
- Oversee all design stages, from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions for web and mobile platforms
- Work with Software engineers for UI/UX outcomes
- Work in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts to locate and define new UI/UX improvement opportunities

**The Person**:

- 3+ years’ experience in IT with 3-5 years’ experience in successful delivery of a wide range of UI/UX design projects.
- Expert in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
- Expert in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML 5 and CSS 3, jQuery, and JavaScript.
- Bootstrap and Adminlte knowledge will be added advantage
- Experience in User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI)
- Excellent visual design skills, creative and open to new ideas
- Demonstrated experience being able to convert functional requirements into Prototype/wireframes
- Exposure of following; API web integration, content management systems and
search engine optimisation principles.
- Combination of technical aptitude, commercial and product management skills, communication, negotiation and decision-making ability
- Familiarity with project management and product development life cycles
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships across the business to drive product development and growth
- Well-developed communication and influencing skills
- Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills with consideration to business impact
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity.
- Track record of creating User led design, human centric design.
