Job Description Summary

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Transaction Services Manager to join our Business Services team
About the Role

The role is responsible for developing and maintaining an effective framework that supports the Group’s strategic and operational objectives through delivery of transactional financial services including Payroll, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and Master Data Management (MDM).

Service delivery, efficiencies, and risk mitigation through an effective control environment that satisfies both regulatory and internal compliance requirements are key role deliverables.
- Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time- Location: Melbourne VIC- Reporting Line: General ManagerKey Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Transaction Services Team (AP, AR, MDM & Payroll functions), acting as a key partner across the Business, promoting a customer first culture, innovation, service, and performance.
- Provide timely function deliverables, reporting, etcand insight on activities that support company performance and enable appropriate action to be taken.
- Ensure that all operations comply with legal requirements, appropriate ethical and governance standards, and Group policies and risk appetite.
- Develop, communicate, and enforce internal controls, policies, and operational procedures particular to the function.
- Drive function / Team continuous improvement. Identify opportunities for improvement and growth through the development of best practice Policy and procedures.
- Coach, mentor and build a strong and supportive team environment enabling growth in team capability and capacity to meet the organisation's future needs.
- Develop and build strong and functional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the service outcomes, provide advice, contribute to strategy and policy setting, planning, forecasting and projects.

About You

To be successful for this role, you have:

- Proven experience in a similar role
- Strong management / Team leadership skills ability to coach and develop a Team
- Experience and understanding in payroll, AP & AR functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A proven ability to make balanced judgments using imperfect information
- Proactive nature, inquisitive mind, and continuous improvement disposition
- Experience and understanding in business commercials / financials. Develop and manage budgets
