**About The Role**

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Ethical Buying Officer to join our team, based in our National Support Office located in the Adelaide CBD.

As an Ethical Buying Officer, you will assist with ethical product selection, purchasing and inventory management to optimise profitability, as well as supporting ethical buying initiatives and projects.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensuring ethical purchasing and inventory management optimises profitability
- Ensuring we achieve all mandatory CSO & PBS standards
- Supporting ethical buying initiatives and projects
- Providing customer service and meeting strategic directives
- Ensuring all communication is professional and provided in an accurate and timely manner
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure successful outcomes

**About You**

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have;
- An understanding of the pharmacy industry, PBS and pharmaceutical scheduling
- Inventory management and purchasing experience
- Incisive, excellent communication skills and capability to develop effective relationships and negotiate with a diverse range of people, both internally and externally
- Sound analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and adhere to strict deadlines

Additional qualities which may help you to be successful in this role;
- Dispensary experience (i.e. Pharmacist or Dispensary Technician) and pharmaceutical product knowledge
- Experience and knowledge of supply chain management and CSO obligations
- Experience with JDE software
- Prior experience in an Ethical Buying Officer role or similar would be advantageous
