**Join us - we’re looking for a Team Leader - Structural Drafting, Bridges & Structures for our Melbourne Team**

The Team Leader is responsible for a team of structural drafters undertaking drafting tasks to meet client and project requirements. The Team Leader requires relevant technical specialist skills and experience, including leaderships skills to model and support performance achievement.

The incumbent will have utilization targets, be accountable for delivering work and support the Manager Technical Service (VIC/TAS) in mentoring and managing a team of structural designers and drafters. As a technical position, with utilized targets, the incumbent will work closely with local design and drafting teams and support the Manager Technical Services (VIC/TAS) to drive innovation, quality, and support state resourcing as required.

**Key Accountabilities**
- With support from the Manager - Technical Services VIC/TAS, provide leadership and development opportunities to the employees in the team to ensure cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development.
- Demonstrate advanced technical skills, ensuring that drafting tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and ensure the drawings and/or models are to a level of quality of the client, SMEC and project.

**Experience**
- At least 15+ years’ professional drafting experience
- Proven ability to undertake key technical tasks independently across a broad range of small to large profile projects
- Sound aptitude to prepare technical reports and prepare proposals on small to medium projects
- Proven time management skills with the ability to plan workloads and meet deadlines
- Ability to effectively work across a variety of projects learning new skills and knowledge quickly and efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to be effective in managing client relationships and expectations
