**About the Assignment**

This position is responsible for providing finance support for Bayu Undan and Ningaloo Vision Assets within the WA, NA & TL Regional Business Unit.

The position will oversee all financial information and analysis for projects activities, including coordinating all financial accounting, budgeting and forecasting for these projects for both internal and JV stakeholders.

- the financial impacts of key business decisions
- individual cost drivers
- recommend actions to improve financial performance

Tasks include:

- Joint Venture Finance - maintaining relationship with JV partners Finance reps, delivering periodic and ad hoc reports, analysis and inputs including WP&B, Billing Statements and Cash Call Statement, ensuring full compliance with JOA requirements, and managing external non-operated audits.
- Cost Management & Reporting - maintain accurate master data, prepare analysis and commentary, actively challenge costs and identify process improvements.
- Month End - preparation of monthly accruals, monthly commentary and analysis, and inputs to external reporting requirements.
- Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Quality analysis and insights, with emphasis on forward-looking actions.
- Production Sharing Contract - provide input into PSC requirements in relation to Bayu Undan.
- Deliver Joint Venture budget, billing and cash call preparation and AFE obligations.
- Maintain strong working relationships with cost control team (ensure clear alignment between finance and cost control for WP&Bs, AFEs and financial budgets and forecasts), Financial Services and JV partners.

**About You**

Ideally you will demonstrate:

- Experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably within the energy industry or a similar sector
- Experienced SAP User
- Advanced analytical skills in MS Excel
- The ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance professionals

**Mandatory Tickets / Quals / Certs**
- Completed professional qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent)
- Accounting, Commerce or similar Tertiary Degree
- Accounting experience, preferably in Big 4 or resources industry
