Quality Assurance Manager

**The Opportunity**

At BlackMilk, we are known for our high quality standards and we pride ourselves on the quality of product that we provide our customers. We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to support and ensure our ongoing quality standards are met by providing leadership, support, and training to our Quality Control (QC) team.

Reporting into our Operations Director, you will track progress of orders through the QC to ensure on-time delivery and in line with the critical pathway. This role is critical in being the liaison between the QC team and the greater business.

What will you work on and own?
- Conduct daily stand ups with the team providing feedback on prior day and direction for the day ahead.
- Develop quality standards for use across the supply chain, collaborating with Production, Merchandise and Product Development and implement across all relevant teams.
- Develop reporting for quality measurement and recording quality.
- Work with Offshore QC to ensure a consistent QC process across our supply chain.
- Inducting and training new team members, providing essential training and support to build capability efficiently.
- Review tech packs to ensure garments are being checked against the requirements, including thread colour, construction and label placement relaying relevant information to the team.
- Monitor the quality of the product through the various stages of sewing production.
- Work in with the team where required to achieve deadlines by Snipping and checking quality of sewn garments or folding, bundling and tagging of garments with correct swing tags.

**About You**

You are a collaborative leader, someone who is a clear communicator and can motivate and inspire the team around you. You’re organised and can workflow manage to ensure balance between maintaining quality and deadlines are met.

Some of the things we are looking for:

- Experience in apparel quality control, with an understanding of common sewing and fabric faults
- Development of company quality standards
- Team leadership and a coaching approach
- Technical know-how of garment construction, fabric properties, production processes.
