**Description**:
**About the role**:
Reporting to the Group Technical Quality Manager, this role will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements and customer expectations. This role involves the development and maintenance of Pre-Requisite Programs (PRPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) documentation, the management of customer complaint responses and Product Information Form (PIF) approvals. Working 38 hours per week with flexible start times between Monday to Friday.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Develop, implement, and maintain QMS documentation in accordance with BSI HACCP and GMP certification.
Conduct internal audits and support external audits and inspections.
Ensure document control procedures are followed and maintained.
Draft, review, and update Pre-Requisite Programs (PRPs), and related policies including sanitation, pest control, allergen management, and traceability. Ensure PRPs align with regulatory and customer requirements.
Participate in the development, review, and validation of HACCP plans.
Investigate and respond to customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Maintain complaint logs and trend analysis reports.
Review and approve AFGC Product Information Files (PIFs) to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory and customer specifications.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to quality initiatives.
Enter details for micro testing into relevant register and submit samples for testing.
Provide support to staff on quality systems and food safety practices.
Provide support to all roles of the Group Quality Assurance and Food Safety Teams.
**About You**:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology or a related discipline.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a food manufacturing or quality assurance role
Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
Experience in writing and managing QMS documentation and PRPs.
Proficiency in handling customer complaints and PIF documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel, with intermediate to advanced skills.
