**The Opportunity**
Our UGL Utilities division is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager for a High Voltage substation and transmission line project in Regional NSW. The role will be based on site on a 10/4 roster.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will undertake all site inductions as requested by the client. Monitor and evaluation systems and procedures specific to site works to ensure that they are up to date, compliant and line with best practice, whilst you participate in regular learning and development programs to continually enhance and further develop skills and continuously improve capabilities and performance.
**What will a day in this role look like**:
- Manage the development of project documentation and obtaining relevant environmental, planning and regulatory approvals and permits
- Coordinate and engage with cross functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the timely management and mitigation of approvals risk for effective project commencement.
- Build on pre-established relationships at Federal, State and local Government levels within NSW to meet environmental project requirements
- Continuously monitoring changes in Regulations, public policy, approval conditions and industry practice to ensure the projects continues to meet its compliance obligations

- 15+ years knowledge and experience from working across major projects
- Strong Solution Focused mindset where obstacles can be overcome.
- Effective Client engagement and management experience
- Strength in town planning is preferred
