GPO Bar and Café is your friendly neighbourhood café where you can make yourself at home. We serve modern Asian
- Australian Cuisine and are currently looking for a qualified and experienced chef to join our team in delivering high quality food and service to the locals and visitors of Toowoomba. With your culinary and managerial experience, you will be expected to lead our team in creating menus and specials that will bring pleasure to all our guests and patrons. You will be an advocate of utilizing local produce and partnering with other local businesses while upholding the quality of the food that we serve.

As a Barista/ Front of House, your job tasks will include:

- Greeting customers and taking orders
- Making coffee and other drinks as well as desserts and pastries
- Assist in bringing out food and drinks when necessary
- Keeping the work area clean and organized, including washing dishes if needed
- Managing stock and inventory by creating prep lists and order lists
- Foster good relationships co-workers and customers
- Maintain standards for food health and safety

Experience and qualifications needed:

- Prior experience is a plus but not a requirement
- Willingness to learn is a must; must have an open mind and not afraid of criticism
- Knowledge in basic customer service with the ability to adapt and be better
- Pleasing personality and the ability to listen is a definite plus
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain an enthusiastic attitude
- Communicate with other staff including front of house and kitchen staff
- Attention to detail and focus on quality and consistency
- RSA also a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability
