Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social and health facilities and tourism is a developing focus for the region.

**Early Childhood Educator - Certificate III (Kindergarten)**

**Hourly Rate**:$22.96 to $28.29 (rate dependent on level of experience)

**Part Time**(29 hrs 20 min per fortnight) - **Permanent**

Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking a Certificate III qualified educator to support the Gowrie Park Kindergarten in Tatura in providing a quality education and care funded kindergarten program. This is a permanent position 22 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during school terms.

We are seeking a likeminded educator who is able to embrace and enhance our service philosophy of supporting the uniqueness and individuality of each child and their right to develop to their full potential through positive effective learning experiences and the celebration of family’s cultures.

The successful applicant will have the support of the Council Early Years network. They will be a part of a new team of educators, who are working together in a cohesive, respectful and innovative approach to education and care for three and four year olds.

All applicants must hold the following qualifications/licences
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent recognised by ACECQA or working towards qualification.
- Current First Aid - HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
- Current CPR - HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Criminal History Check (valid within six months).
- Current and valid Employee Working with Children Check Card (WWCC).
- Protecting Children - Mandatory reporting and other obligations early childhood
