SEEKING QUALIFIED & EXPERIENCED DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS

We are seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals excited about supporting people with disability. You will be providing support to participants in their homes and in the community to live their fullest life and achieve their lifestyle goals.

You must have your own car to be considered for this role.

All successful applicants will be knowledgeable of the requirements of the NDIS code of conduct.

The Code of Conduct requires that disability workers, in providing support or services to people with a disability, must:

- Act with respect for individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination, and decision-making in accordance with applicable laws and conventions
- Respect the privacy of people with disability
- Provide support and services in a safe and competent manner, with care and skill
- Act with integrity, honesty, and transparency
- Promptly take steps to raise and act on concerns about matters that may impact the quality and safety of supports and services provided to people with disability
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to all forms of violence against, and exploitation, neglect, and abuse of, people with disability
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct.

Selection Criteria (Essential)
- Certificate III/IV in Disability/Aged Care/Individual Support or an equivalent industry related qualification
- Previous experience in aged care and/or disability is preferred
- Current Victorian Drivers’ License
- Current fully comprehensive insurance on your private vehicle (to be used for work purposes)
- Right to work in Australia (No restrictions)
- Current NDIS Screening check or willingness to complete is a MUST
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively as a member of a team.
- Ability and willingness to work in a diverse range of settings including but not limited to: a person’s home or place of residence, other services, community groups, and other community settings
- Understanding of Work Health & Safety requirements
- Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
- Working with Children (WWC)

**Salary**: $31.00 - $84.00 per hour
