We’re looking for a Retail Sales & Warehouse Assistant to join our small but mighty team. This is a hands-on role with a mix of customer service, stock handling, order preparation, and general store duties. You’ll be helping customers, managing stock, packing orders, and keeping things organised — both on the shop floor and behind the scenes.
- **WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING WITH US**:_
- **Retail Duties**:_
- Providing friendly, solution-focused service to help customers get the right product for their project
- Processing sales through the POS system (register, EFTPOS, etc.)
- Handling returns, refunds, and customer support enquiries, escalating technical questions where needed
- Restocking shelves and maintaining clean, organised, and well-presented displays
- **Warehouse Duties**:_
- Picking, packing and dispatching online orders efficiently
- Receiving, unpacking and quality checking incoming stock
- Consolidating stock, tidying shelves, and keeping the store, warehouse and workspace organised
- Communicating with the team about stock updates, order changes, faulty items, and customer issues
- General warehouse and admin tasks as required to support daily operations such as stocktakes
- Lending a hand wherever needed — we’re a team that works together
- **POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:_
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, admin, or sales is highly regarded; eCommerce experience is a bonus
- Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and learning new software
- Some experience with Shopify, Cin7, Starshipit, or eParcel platforms is advantageous but not essential
- Physically fit - able to lift up to 20kg and work on your feet throughout the day
- Strong communication and people skills, with a friendly and approachable manner
- Motivated, reliable, and able to demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Quick thinker, fast learner, and able to adapt to a variety of tasks
- Reliable transportation to/from the business (Uber, Public Transport etc. is okay)
- A genuine passion for woodworking, timber, and epoxy - or a strong desire to learn
- **HOW WE’LL WORK TOGETHER**:_
- Casual Position 20-30 hours a week, with progression to full time for the right applicant
- Monday to Friday shifts with occasional Saturday shift if required
- Business operates from 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday & 9am - 1pm on Saturdays

Pay: From $32.06 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
