ABOUT THE ROLE
As General Manager - Strategic Product Planning, you’ll lead the full product lifecycle—from bold ideas to market launch and beyond—ensuring every initiative is insight-driven, future-focused, and aligned with CA ANZ’s strategic goals. You’ll shape go-to-market strategies using data, research, and capability models, while collaborating with senior leaders across Marketing, Education, and Member Engagement to deliver innovative, high-impact experiences for our current and future members.
**Key responsibilities**:

- Shape and Communicate Product Vision: Define a compelling product vision aligned with Company’s strategic goals and the evolving needs of current and future members and workplaces.
- Drive Insight-Led Strategy: Leverage market research, member data, and trend analysis to identify opportunities, inform go-to-market plans, and guide product differentiation strategies.
- Champion Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and insights to support strategic decisions, clearly articulating the rationale behind product direction and aligning market needs with product positioning.
- Lead with Influence and Expertise: Foster a high-performing, insight-driven team culture while advising senior leaders on complex product challenges and strategic development.
- Set Strategic Direction: Partner with senior leadership to define annual priorities, ensuring clear scope, resourcing, and alignment with organisational KPIs.
- Shape and Deliver Product Strategy: Translate vision into actionable strategy, defining the product’s purpose, audience, and value while aligning with broader business goals.
- Lead Market Positioning: Craft compelling value propositions and collaborate on launch strategies that drive engagement and commercial success.
- Manage the Full Product Lifecycle: Oversee end-to-end product delivery, ensuring relevance, impact, and alignment with market needs.
- Foster Strategic Collaboration: Partner with General Managers across Marketing and Education to co-create strong value propositions, align on workplace learning trends, and shape go-to-market strategies that resonate with our audiences.
- Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with education design, sales, and support teams, while engaging external partners and industry experts to ensure cohesive product strategy and informed strategic direction.
- Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams: Mentor direct reports and contribute to the broader marketing leadership, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning while enhancing digital and strategic capabilities.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee cross-functional alignment, resource planning, budget management, and risk mitigation to ensure seamless delivery of strategic product initiatives.
- Measure and Optimise Performance: Set and track key product metrics, using data analytics and insights to inform decisions, improve outcomes, and guide continuous improvement.

- Relevant Experience: A background in product, marketing, education, or a related field, supported by relevant qualifications and a track record of strategic product leadership.
