**Position Title**:Cyber Security Analyst
**Classification**: HS4

**Role Description**

This role is integral to the Cyber Security Team and offers great opportunity for career growth and development.

Reporting to the Cyber Security Manager, You will be accountable for the configuration, tuning, and operation of enterprise security management tools to detect and respond to cyber security related incidents. In addition, you will focus on delivering security detection, monitoring and prevention capabilities for both physical and virtual infrastructures while recommending specific measures that ensure a strong security posture for all member agencies.**
**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Actioning/monitoring the Security ticket queue.
- Actioning/monitoring SIEM alerts.
- Checking vulnerability scan results.
- Identifying system weaknesses, vulnerabilities, exposures, and performing risk assessments.
- Identifying remedial actions and work with internal support teams to perform remediation.
- Assist with incident response activities.
- Maintaining and updating security documentation.
- Assist with the implementation of new and updated security mechanisms.
- Identify potential areas of improvement for security processes and procedures.
- Assist with operational reporting, including metrics and statistics.
- Ensure strict adherence to LMSS change control procedures.
- Contribute to the development of Cyber Security Awareness Programs.
- Develop and maintain a program of self-development.
- 24x7x365 operation, with the requirement for out of hours work and escalation roster, which you will be compensated for.
- Assist with projects as required.
- Other duties as required.
