Product Development Manager

**Our team is rapidly growing and we're on the hunt for a brand new Product Development Manager** to join our team and help our company to achieve our big, audacious goals to transform the plant-based and alternative protein sector.

**Our Product Development Manager will**:

- Create new flavours using Nourish Ingredients materials, particularly focusing on meat and dairy flavours
- Develop, modify and optimise flavour products according to customers' needs and market trends
- Lead, design and perform research for product optimisation and innovation
- Collaborate with sensory scientists and other team members and/or external sensory labs to execute sensory tests for new products.
- Analyse data, write up experiments and results, reporting to Team lead on results
- Providing support for other team members in experimental planning, lab performance, product development and packaging.
- Develop relationships with key vendors & suppliers.

**You have**:

- A Bachelor's Degree in Food Chemistry/Food Technology or related disciplines with at least 10 years working experience in food flavour industry.
- Strong understanding about fat, meat and dairy flavours derived from fat and fat components.
- Experience in product development (from proof of concept to commercialisation).
- Extensive experience in scaling up (e.g., pilot running trials, scaling up processes and equipment) is required.
- Experience in formulation optimisation (performance, cost) to suit targeted end use and specific customers' needs.
- Thorough understanding about flavour ingredients and legislation.
- Experience in project and time management.
- Ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and experience to work effectively, and to establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, collaborators, and clients.

**It would be great, but not essential, if you also had**:
Understanding of meat and dairy processing, meat and dairy plant-based products is highly desirable.
