We are growing rapidly, and the company is at a pivotal and exciting stage of translating our founding technologies into scale-up and then industrial scale implementation in support of our key areas of production on recycling PET and nylon. We are engaging with and looking to expand our team with recognised leaders and experts in their field to help drive this evolution.

**The Role...**

The Quality and Environmental Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality assurance and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role involves developing, monitoring, and improving processes to enhance product quality and minimize environmental impact.

The role will initially oversee quality and environmental management at the Mitchell facility but will transition to overseeing the greenfield Jerrabomberra site from mid-2025. Quality Management Systems and practices developed at Mitchell will transition to Jerrabomberra.

**Key Responsibilities...**

**Quality Management**:

- Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Analyse quality data and implement corrective actions to address non-conformities.
- Collaborate with production teams to develop and maintain quality control procedures.
- Train staff on quality assurance processes and best practices.

**Environmental Management**:

- Develop and implement environmental management systems (EMS) in accordance with B-Corp requirements.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and legislation.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop strategies to mitigate negative effects.
- Promote sustainable practices and initiatives within the organization.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory bodies.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Maintain accurate records of quality and environmental management activities.
- Prepare and present reports on quality and environmental performance to senior management.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits and inspections.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift to 20 kilograms.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment with exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including gloves, lab coat, and safety glasses.

**Qualifications...**
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality and/or environmental management.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
- Certification in quality and environmental management (e.g., CQE, CEM) is preferred.
