Director, Office of Health Statutory Agencies

The role Reporting to the Executive Director, System Policy Branch, your responsibilities encompass identifying strategic challenges, formulating policy recommendations, and delivering strategic counsel to top-tier executives, including the Director-General, and the Minister. You will guide the creation of Significant Appointment Cabinet submissions and Ministerial Briefing Notes, ensuring adherence to Government, Parliamentary, and legislative standards.
Cultivating effective internal and external relationships, you will facilitate stakeholder understanding of governance changes, steering projects and reviews across policy, process, and government-wide priorities in the State public sector health system. Your leadership will be vital in setting performance standards, supporting team members, and ensuring compliance with contemporary human resource management practices, including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity, and anti-discrimination requirements.
The successful personThe successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of health statutory bodies and their role in the public health context. You will be a strong leader with demonstrated experience managing teams and leading large, complex programs of work and projects. You will be a strong negotiator who has a proven history in engaging with a broad range of stakeholders across the health system and other government agencies. You will have a demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality written materials, such as briefs and correspondence for a range of audiences.
