**Job description**:
**The Role**
We are looking for a Case Manager to join the Administrative Appeals Branch within a Federal Government Agency based in Richmond. These opportunities are at APS6 equivalent, paying $60.26 per hour plus super and will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
The Case Manager will be responsible for preparing assessing and instructing in cases filed in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. The role involves preparing and attending Case Conferences, Conciliation Conferences and Hearings, as well as providing timely and clear instructions to internal and external lawyers representing the federal government department.
**Responsibilities**
The APS6 Case Management position will be responsible for a range of activities, including:
- Effectively managing end to end case management activities within a high volume and broad complex environment
- Obtaining necessary information and advice to effectively resolve AAT matters
- Attend Case Conferences, Conciliation's and Hearings conducted by AAT.
- Prepare documentation required for resolution options, outcomes, and case management meetings.
- Prepare and maintain database software, including evidence supporting the decision-making process and justifications of conclusions reached during the case management process.
**About You**
- Qualifications in law or related discipline will be reviewed favourably
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver outcomes and manage workloads to meet timeframes
- Demonstrate the ability to make sound judgements and develop options to solve problems
- Strong communication and relationship skills
- Ability to prepare documents, such as those that explain a position under legislation
- Ability to listen and communicate clearly and effectively
