**Turning Point**

Turning Point was established in 1994 to provide leadership to the alcohol and drug field in Victoria. Turning Point is now a national treatment, research and education centre that provides leadership in the alcohol and drug, gambling and mental health sectors. Combining research with service innovation, surveillance, system enhancements, education, capacity building and specialist support, Turning Point is a recognised centre of excellence that assists services, communities and governments to respond to current and emerging issues. Turning Point is part of Eastern Health and is affiliated with Monash University.

**About the role**

The aim of Turning Point is to reduce AOD related harm to individuals and their families by providing integrated service response to promote recovery.

The clinician will be responsible for the completion of clinical duties relating to The Hamilton Centre and AOD Pathways service delivery. You will be part of a service responsible for the integrating and providing navigation support to clinicians, consumers, families and carers which encourages improved treatment outcomes for individuals who present with co-occurring mental health, addiction and drug and alcohol concerns. The service values interdisciplinary, integrated care by which a team work together to develop and implement a plan of care to allow for smoother care delivery by the mental health service.

The incumbent will create and encourage relationships and linkages between mental health and AOD services and staff, facilitating appropriate referrals and providing expert guidance to mental health clinicians.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Hold a degree qualification in Social Work that has been approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers for membership as a Social Worker. Maintains compliance with the AASW Continuing Professional Development Policy in order to meet the Eastern Health Allied Health credentialing standard.

OR
- A Masters or Doctorate degree in clinica psychology.
- Current full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Endorsement as a clinical psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia or eligibility to work towards endorsement in clinical psychology.

OR
- Eligibility for membership with one of the following:

- Membership with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) in the family /relationship therapy of general counselling / psychotherapy sections

**Knowledge & skills**:

- Advanced interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
- Proficient written and computer literacy skills including competence in the use of Microsoft Word for Windows, Excel, Outlook, remote working, and the internet. This includes typing proficiency for the delivery of online services.
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Innovative, resourceful and adaptive to change.
- Evidenced contribution to clinical professional and practice development.
- Recent clinical experience in clinical specialty.
- Demonstrated excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to evaluate and engage in self-reflective practice and a commitment to supervised practice including peer supervision.
- Victorian Driver’s licence
