Don't bother reading on then Our client is a large independent group providing the key parts and services to workshops, stations and repair centers around the APAC region, and they are looking for a solid and experienced Test Manager who has had experience in both manual and automated testing. With their clients sitting in a variety of industries and sectors, you will have the chance to be exposed to some new and dynamic industry spaces. **SCOPE OF DUTIES** **Primary Responsibilities** > The Test Manager will manage a team of Test analysts (9) to execute fit-for-purpose solutions to meet business requirements. Adhering to good coding practice and the Architecture Principles, the Test Manager will ensure the Test Team meets the agreed project outcomes as defined by the Business Analysts. > The Test Manager is the custodian of the Test processes. This may be a hybrid of Agile and Waterfall as determined for each body of work or system category. > From time to time, The Test Manager may assist the Solution Architect in producing technical specifications for custom development and systems integration as required. The role will also produce Test Script documents to match solution design specifications > The Test Manager will be supporting the Test Team across four platform areas and will have a solid understanding of product development life cycles **Key Accountabilities** Leadership - Be able to explain to the team the importance of the principles of good Testing to produce software of the highest possible quality in the fastest possible time. - Understand and be able to talk coherently about the latest test practices in order to best maximise resourcing availability. - Review the quality of the test scripts. - Facilitate Joint Application Design sessions with the development team in preparation for each forthcoming development sprint. - Facilitate morning “stand-ups” for an update on each project. - Demonstrate to the team better ways of doing things and help them improve their skills as required. - Adhere to our client's defined project standards, tools and development procedures. - Understand and adhere to Enterprise Architecture Standards and engage where appropriate with the Enterprise Architect on design decisions. - Act as an example to all the Test analysts on the team by being the person who most closely follows the principles and practices, they have committed to so that the Test analysts on the team feel confident they can too. - Custodian of all non-productive environments & follow delivery practice management guidelines in relation to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). - Work closely with the Platform Manager to ensure the development and testing approach used is consistent with the rest of the Group Technology Services. - To ensure an effective testing framework is in place for all teams and there is strong communication and collaboration between Test analysts and developers. - Quality control of solutions produced by the Development team via effective system testing to ensure there is a quality experience for users and an efficient, productive solution is provided to the business. - Advocate learning and development of skills on the latest technologies available. - Work collaboratively with the Development Team in pursuit of a good team culture. - Work collaboratively with the Platform Teams to ensure a quality product is delivered. Business Systems - Develop innovative technical design and creation of technical specifications; - Create technical documentation that shares knowledge effectively; - Good knowledge of unit and integration testing practices; - Code reviews, by and for peers; - Specify, design and test business systems developed by external parties; - Develop and maintain data warehouses and reporting systems; - Assist in documenting technical aspects for custom development and systems integration requirements; - Ensure reporting systems are functioning effectively and data integrity is maintained. Risk Management - Make recommendations concerning the organisation’s risks as it relates to the current IT systems. General - Other duties as reasonably directed within the individual’s skills, competence, and ability. - Compliance with all policies and procedures at all times, including Health and Safety, Quality, Information Security, legislation, and others as appropriate - Compliance with all reporting procedures, including but not limited to incident, accident reporting, and the identification and reporting of hazards - Always contribut
