**The Role in General**

Xailient works with innovators and early adopter customers in the Edge computing space. The Cloud Services Technical Lead ('the Technical Lead') is a critical addition to our team.

This role will be Australia-based

**Role Details**

In addition to the product feature-set, the Technical Lead will be responsible for the performance, manageability, scalability, security, and reliability of the product. The Technical Lead will bring to the company industry best practices whilst providing technical expertise and leadership throughout the development, deployment, and maintenance of the product. Finally, this individual should be committed to mentoring and instructing colleagues, to continually elevate company capabilities in the cloud solutions domain.

**Responsibilities**:

- Enterprise cloud architecture design and development
- Develop solutions from the ground up - from a customer-voiced 'Concept of Operations', through the breadth of SDLC activities, in an Agile setting, and into successful deployment and operations
- Demonstrate mastery of cloud architecture and implementation features (multi-tenancy, orchestration, elastic scalability, serverless designs, networking, security, and reliability)
- Adept Technical leadership of the 3-5 engineers on the cloud services team
- Take responsibility for, and be accountable for, the delivery of a solid cloud-based product that meets customer needs and supports the business strategy
- Continually improve how we work and elevate our company capabilities

**Requirements**:

- Success in principal-level software engineering roles (8+ years) in AWS cloud-based product development
- Full stack dev experience with a high level of proficiency with Python and NodeJS
- Experienced team lead of small, agile teams, and broader collaboration with key stakeholders (technical, business, customer, market)
- Experienced scrum master, ideally holding CSM accreditation and a demonstrable strong track record of scrum mastery
- Thorough understanding of DevOps - process, tools, frameworks, implementation, optimization
- Strong believer and proponent of CI, especially automated testing
- Strong track record of technical leadership roles in the development of complex cloud-based solutions
- Experience in Computer Vision (CV), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning Ops (MLOps) will be very highly regarded
- Well-honed skills/toolbox regarding leading and working with others, in domains both technical and non-technical, and across a range of dynamic situations
- Maturity to handle and excel in the fast-paced and evolutionary environment prevalent in a technology-focused start-up company

**Remuneration Package: base + super + ESOP**
