**How will I help?**

As Westpac’s Experience Designer you will be a competent craft person who can work as a part of a cross-functional team, or independently, to drive small/discreet design deliverables. You will tend to focus more on delivery exploration, testing, and detailed design. You will work to an existing strategy or roadmap with the support of a Senior or Lead.

You will also be responsible for:

- Mentoring other junior team members by sharing knowledge, design skills and context to help up-skill others
- Supporting cross-functional squads to identify opportunities to solve problems aligned to customer needs and conceptualise solutions for delivery
- Actively contributing to workshops and co-design sessions to support ideation, conceptual direction and help to define what's coming next
- Building storytelling skills to help communicate design rationale whilst working through problem-solving, delivery detail and cross-functional refinement of solutions
- Owning discreet on the job design decisions whilst actively sharing work for direction, feedback and to ensure consistent quality outcomes
- Working with research and data teams to help inform research briefs and learn more about various methodologies to help gain actionable insights
- Supporting senior designers with research recruitment, facilitating testing sessions and actively contribute to analysis and synthesis
- Helping to inform design workflows and process improvements to produce design deliverables and documentation to support delivery
- Actively collaborating with the design systems team to improve component libraries, workflows and contribute context related to pattern solutions
- Supporting more junior designers with craft knowledge and start to take on some mentorship responsibilities
- Taking an active role engaging and sharing knowledge within the design community

**What do I need?**
- You will be a self-starter, able to work self sufficiently
- A wealth of experience in the digital product design field
- Ability to play a mentoring relationship for the wider team
- Capability to facilitate and foster stakeholder relationships
- Power to exercise governance and best practise
- Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
- Desire to be constantly challenged and develop new knowledge

Financial services background is preferred.
