Role Purpose
This role plays an integral part in the smooth operation of our Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and related financial transactions. You will support Uniting’s mission by contributing to financial integrity and continuous improvement, while fostering a safe and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process credit invoices and adjustments in MS Dynamics D365 via purchase orders and tax invoice journals
- Perform daily invoice matching initiated by purchasing transactions
- Process resident recharges and resolve unmatched invoices, including HCP recharges
- Refer incorrectly coded and processed invoices to the General Ledger team
- Liaise with business users to resolve purchase order and invoice issues, providing training where required
- Ensure open ticket items are actioned and resolved within agreed SLA timelines
- Collect and collate data for KPI reporting as required
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase process efficiency and quality
- Comply with all WH&S requirements and quality management systems
- Contribute to team development and department improvements aligned with strategic objectives
- Champion and maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace environment

Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree or certification in Finance or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounts payable or finance role
- Strong knowledge of the procure-to-pay (P2P) process
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics D365 is highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and influence across departments
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Industry experience in aged care or family services is advantageous but not essential
