Austspray Environmental Weed Control specialises in Natural Area Management, Landscape Maintenance, Aquatic Weed Control, Cliff Face Weed Control and Turf Maintenance within Queensland and Northern New South Wales. We are seeking an experienced manager for our dynamic Natural Areas unit.

The Natural Areas Manager will manage projects and staff within the natural areas unit of the company. The role entails:

- Coordinating the efficient and effective treatment of the natural area, by overseeing, planning and organising projects from the initial stages through to completion;
- Developing and maintaining documentation and procedures throughout each project, and carrying out monitoring and reporting related to project and client requirements;
- Assisting in the tendering process for large projects and quoting smaller projects as required;
- Communicating directly with customers providing guidance, advice, direction, quotes, management plans and pricing schedules;
- Leading and managing the Natural Areas team including performance management and reviews, training and development and maintaining high level of morale and harmony;
- Although infrequent; you will also carry out hands on weed control and natural area restoration works when required.
- Minimum Cert III in Conservation & Land Management or equivalent, with further tertiary studies very highly regarded;
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role;
- Demonstrated planning and communication skills;
- Proven project management skills;
- Demonstrated experience budgeting and quoting for projects;
- Extensive team leadership, mentorship and supervisory experience;
- Knowledge and practical skills in weed control/management techniques;
- Experience in medium to large scale plantings;
- Practical experience with power tools (chainsaws, augers, hedge trimmers etc.);
- Manual, unrestricted drivers licence;
- White card/Safety Construction Card;
- ACDC licence;
- First Aid & CPR certificate.
