Austspray Environmental is growing, and we're looking for passionate, hands-on people to join our Natural Areas team.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work across diverse South East Queensland landscapes — from coastal corridors to urban bushland — restoring native ecosystems and tackling environmental weeds.

Every day is different: you might be planting native species, managing weed infestations, maintaining habitat corridors, or supporting large-scale restoration projects.

Our crews start and finish each day at our Stapylton depot, heading out to sites in company vehicles.

What We're Looking For

You'll need:

  • A strong work ethic and physical fitness for active outdoor work
  • Some knowledge of SEQ native and weed species
  • Experience in weed control techniques, including safe chemical application
  • Practical skills using power tools (e.g. augers, hedge trimmers, brushcutters)
  • A White Card (Construction Safety Card)
  • A current driver's licence and reliable transport to get to base
  • A commitment to working safely and protecting the environment

Bonus Skills That Will Impress Us

  • Certificate III in Conservation & Ecosystem Management (or currently studying)
  • ACDC Licence
  • Chainsaw ticket
  • Manual or MR/HR licence
  • First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
