**About the Opportunity**

Due to the success and growth of our business, there is now an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Leading Hand Pump Service Technician to play an integral role within our high performing team.

The role will initially see you playing a leading role in conducting preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs and installations of a range of differing pumping equipment across the Sydney metropolitan region as well as within our workshop.

As you progress, additional accountabilities and responsibilities will be incorporated into your role that will be focused on ensuring that our customer requirements are exceeded and that safety, quality, and performance standards are met.

As the Leading Hand Pump Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and reviewing work scopes and work instructions.
- Assist the Service Manager with the day-to-day activities for the shift to ensure that work complies with company procedures and is completed on time.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop and / or other company assets used by the team.
- Identify additional scope of works required to resolve site issues.
- Strip and repair a broad range of pumps.
- Work across minor and major installation works.
- Interpret drawings and diagrams.
- Assist with site quotations and reports.
- Mentor and assist with training our apprentices and field staff.
- Liaise with customers and deliver concise service reports.
- Conduct activities in accordance with operational and WHSE policies and procedures.
- Complete hands-on trade activities in the workshop.

You will need to be motivated and possess a good work ethic as well as having clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Ideally, you will possess substantial pump industry experience as well as a relevant trade qualification. Experience in a Field Service Technician role along with a strong mechanical aptitude will help you to succeed in this role.

Experience in end suction centrifugal pumps, multistage pumps, progressive cavity and positive displacement pumps, gear pumps and split case pumps is desirable as well as an Electrical Disconnect / Reconnect Licence (or a willingness and capability to obtain).
