Mechanical Fitter/service Technician

As a dual, hybrid role; field Service Technician and Mechanical Fitter, based from Seven Hills, you’ll be a key player in our national service network, trusted to deliver fast, smart, and effective solutions that make a real impact. You’ll also be responsible for general fitting and machining duties at our Seven Hills workshop to create our exceptional machinery, execute modifications to existing customer machines and assist with installation and commissioning.
Whether it's installing and maintaining pallet wrappers, case packers, palletisers and other packaging machinery, attending breakdowns, building our machines from the ground up or upgrading machines for greater performance — you'll be part of something bigger: a team that drives technical growth, innovation, and exceptional customer care.
**Description**:
**What you’ll be doing**:
Learn our machines from experienced Fitters, building machinery from the ground up:
Take charge of assembly tasks across mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems, under the guidance of our Manufacturing Manager.
**Tackle breakdowns and keep machines moving**:
Respond to breakdowns quickly and confidently, using your mechanical know-how and problem-solving skills to get production back online — fast.
**Routine maintenance and scheduled servicing**:
Keep our customers’ equipment running at its best with proactive service and maintenance on industry-leading packaging machinery.
**Communicate like a pro**:
Be clear, timely and customer-focused in every interaction — both onsite and with our internal teams.
**Stay on the move**:
You’ll enjoy variety in your week with fitting and machining at our site in Seven Hills as well as site visits across metro, regional and interstate locations. Travel is part of the experience — and you'll thrive on it.

**What you’ll bring**:
Mechanical Trade Qualification — you know your way around machines.
Disconnect/Reconnect Restricted Electrical Licence (or willing to obtain it).
Previous experience as a Field service Technician or Fitter — ideally in packaging or high-speed automation environments.
A customer-first mindset — proactive, reliable, and ready to go the extra mile.
Great communication skills — with the confidence to work independently or as part of a team.

A valid driver's licence — and a genuine willingness to travel locally and interstate.
