**The Role**

Black Star Pastry is thriving, and having just moved into our new, purpose built Kitchen HQ in Alexandria we're looking for a Kitchen Hand to join the team.

Your main responsibilities will include cleaning kitchen equipment and machinery,

monitoring and rotating stock levels and generally maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen

We offer reliable day time hours, stable employment and the rare opportunity to achieve work/life balance in a hospitality role.

Ideal availability would be Sunday to Wednesday, 8am-4pm.

**About You**
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment.
- Able to build effective and constructive relationships - a true team player
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally and concisely.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Good judgement and confident to make informed decisions.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing business demands.
- Knowledge of health & safety guidelines when using chemicals

**Our Business**

Black Star Pastry opened its first boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008 and since then we have grown into an institution with four stores across Sydney and two in Melbourne.

We are most famous for our Strawberry Watermelon Cake which has become a social media sensation, with the New York Times declaring it “the world’s most instagrammed cake.”
