**The Role**

Black Star Pastry is thriving and we're looking for Kitchen Hands to join our team in our Alexandria Production Kitchen, a five minute walk from Green Square Station.

We are looking for an enthusiastic hard worker, keen to join our kitchen hand team. In this role, you will be assisting our Production Kitchen Chefs as an all-rounder with cleaning and preparation, and suited to either experienced Kitchen Hands or those looking for an opportunity to experience a professional kitchen environment.

**Roster**

Shift times range from 7am-6pm. Typical shifts are 07:00-1500 or 09:00-17:00

We have a lot of exciting things in development, so this is a fantastic time to become a valued member of our team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Clean and wash dishes ensuring the work area is kept clean and sanitary in accordance with BSP standards.
- Clean and restock areas daily, including monitoring and rotating stock levels in the dry store.
- Clean miscellaneous kitchen machinery/equipment periodically.
- At the end of each shift, clean down all relevant areas and keep the general kitchen area in a clean and tidy state.

**About You**
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is helpful but not essential.
- Able to build effective and constructive relationships - a true team player
- Ability to communicate professionally.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing business demands.
