Full time temporary HR Services Officer within the Government’s Health Sector
**Your new company**
Based in the Hobart CBD, this position sits within the Tasmanian Health Sector, the largest department of all Tasmanian Government agencies. Their responsibilities regarding hospitals, ambulances, public housing, community health, and related areas including limited involvement in primary healthcare.
**Your new role**
Due to internal restructuring, you will provide HR support to a busy team for a two-month period. Your core duties will be providing general support to the office and will include duties such as:
- Provide assistance to managers and staff on a diverse range of HR services, specifically those associated with payroll and recruitment.
- Undertake the accurate, efficient, and effective processing of all transactions relating to the payment of salaries, including new employments, terminations, and all personnel movements, on a day to day basis.
- Manage and monitor recruitment processes to ensure selections are undertaken in a timely manner; liaise with managers and selection panels to ensure timely completion and submission of selection reports and job requests.
- Prepare recruitment related correspondence, process instruments of appointment and assist with recruitment and vacancy filling requests in accordance with established processes and procedures.
- Any other ad hoc administration support required
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful, you will be an experienced HR Officer or HR Admin with:
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) with the ability to confidently explain recruitment and payroll processes to a wide range of stakeholders and build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Capacity to understand the Tasmanian State Service legislative framework as it applies to recruitment; perform duties specific to recruitment processes in a timely manner
- Use initiative to plan, organise and prioritise work in a time critical environment.
- Be self-motivated with the capacity to work individually and to participate as an effective team member.
- Knowledge and understanding of payroll processing, personnel functions and recruitment processes or the ability to acquire this knowledge based on past experience.
**What you'll get in return**
You will receive an attractive casual hourly rate and work during standard business hours, Monday to Friday, completing a 38-hour standard week. You will get the opportunity to work semi-autonomously in a small team.
