**About the Role**:
Supporting academic and operational portfolios, the AI Project Lead will manage program scope, governance, resources and stakeholder responsibilities and expectations to ensure delivery within agreed timeframes. The Project Lead will engage across the university to coordinate service improvements and strategic initiatives, partnering across Curtin. As we enter an exciting phase of growth and digital transformation, you will be committed to innovation, collaboration, and delivering measurable outcomes that align with the University’s strategic priorities.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Lead the implementation of Curtin’s AI program, including the delivery of the AI Action Plan, related initiatives, delivery timelines, risk, and program governance.
- Identify opportunities and AI use cases across academic and professional portfolios, ensuring alignment with Curtin’s strategic priorities.
- Develop and manage a strategic approach to communications and engagement to promote AI literacy, capability-building, and adoption across the University.
- Support policy and resource development that ensures ethical, transparent and responsible integration of AI.
- Collaborate widely with stakeholders to advocate for responsible AI use and contribute to a University-wide AI community of practice.
- Develop guidance documents, training materials, policy submissions, and strategic reports.
- Monitor regulatory developments and integrate ethical compliance strategies.

**Who we are looking for**:

- A proven track record in project management, ideally in a higher education or similarly complex environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience delivering impactful training and resources.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, coordinate cross-functional projects, and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- A strategic and analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.

**Role Requirements**:

- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role
