- The People Team play an important role in creating an environment that enables CSIRO people to do the best science of their lives. Our People Transformation is a new program of work underway that is designed to reimagine the way that the People Team delivers support to people and leaders at CSIRO in order to provide outstanding people experiences that are more integrated, simplified and customer centric._

We are currently seeking two Administration Support Officers to play key roles in the delivery of CSIRO’s People function.

As the Administration Officer, you’ll contribute valuable administrative services to the People team and assist the delivery of efficient day to day operations. You will be responsible for maintaining and filing employee documentation across the employee lifecycle. You’ll streamline services and identify opportunities for improving efficiency, to support the People team meet their objectives in line with CSIRO's strategy.

Your previous administration experience within the HR/People space and strong organisational skills will see you well placed to make an impact in your role. You’re able to collaborate, work autonomously and can connect with a range of stakeholders, in a digital environment.

**Your duties will include**:

- Under limited direction, preparing accurate employment related documentation as prescribed by the document library.
- Providing timely advice in the communication of formal employment correspondence in line with established service levels.
- Ensuring confidentiality and privacy obligations with respect to the issue and storage of personal information.
- Ensuring records are maintained and updated as per agreed systems and standards.
- Maintaining and continuously updating and improving a library of accurate, compliant, streamlined documentation to meet People function requirements.
- Providing support to People Enablement functions, including back up Tier 0/1 support.
- Providing administrative assistance that assists colleagues within the team respond to queries.
- Assisting colleagues in maintaining a high degree of awareness of the systems of work used by the team including record keeping.
- Actively monitoring and identifying opportunities for improvement in the efficiency and quality of People services delivery.
- Other duties as directed.

**Location**:Canberra preferred, with Brisbane and Melbourne negotiable.

**Salary**:AU$66k - AU$84k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**Tenure**:Indefinite, Full-time or Part-time

**To be considered you will need**:

- Experience in an HR/People administration environment, with a focus on delivering high quality and integrated HR/People services and support.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant HR/People frameworks, legislation, acts, policies/procedures, systems, and tools.
- Well-developed organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and collaborate with others.
- Proven ability to use technology platforms and to assist others to adopt them and adapt to changing technologies.
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to manage own workloads with a history of meeting competing deadlines and agile working that adapts to changing requirements.
- Awareness of the digital environment and how to engage with clients in a digital first manner.
- Confidently use digital workplace tools to solve problems, be productive, connect and collaborate with others.
- Demonstrated professional and respectful behaviours and attitudes in a collaborative environment and behaviours aligned to the CSIRO Values.
