**Wellbeing Strategy Coordinator, PEO (ETS)***:

**About the directorate**

Learning Improvement Group commissions, develops and delivers programs that improve educational standards, the quality of teaching and learning in NSW schools, and provides support for children and students.

We are responsible for:

- maximising access, inclusion and wellbeing of students in education P-12, through oversight of relevant school policies and by commissioning programs or strategic partnerships with other agencies and service providers.
- developing and monitoring policies and advice that require teachers to use evidence-based practice and achieve high professional standards in the delivery of curriculum, assessment and reporting.
- developing evidence-based programs, professional learning and instructional resources to build the capability of teachers and school leaders and delivering improvement at scale through local support to groups of teachers or tailored to schools and principal networks.
- monitoring, supporting and regulating early childhood education services in NSW, working to ensure the delivery of quality early education for children from birth up to and including school age.

**About the role***

The Wellbeing Strategy Coordinator leads priority student wellbeing initiatives that support the Department's strategy to drive an improved wellbeing service delivery model for all NSW public schools that has a student-centred approach and that acknowledges and respects local context.

- Teaching qualifications and successful teaching experience within the K-12 range
- Demonstrated understanding of the professional standards and accreditation processes and capacity to coordinate accreditation processes with staff
- Excellent liaison, negotiation, conflict resolution and team building skills across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated successful leadership of staff professional learning and the capacity to develop staff through the implementation of the Performance Development Framework
- Demonstrated capacity to analyse performance and financial data, undertake reviews, evaluate and report on findings
- Proven ability to plan, implement, manage, monitor and evaluate educational programs, provisions and resources
- Expert knowledge of the School Excellence Cycle, a whole school approach to wellbeing and the alignment of wellbeing programs with quality curriculum implementation
- Demonstrated capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
