**About the Team**

The Safety, Environment and Regulation division upholds safety and sustainability in our transport system. We’re working to deliver globally-recognised, safe, sustainable transport for our people, customers and the community.

The Office of Deputy Secretary supports the Deputy Secretary by delivering timely and accurate information and services to the Deputy Secretary and Enterprise teams by working with and coordinating information across Safety, Environment and Regulation branches.

**The opportunity**

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Manager Strategy and Performance responsible for coordinating the Division’s (SER) planning, performance reporting and undertaking projects to support the Senior Manager, Governance and Commercial and the Director, Office of Deputy Secretary, Safety, Environment and Regulation to ensure achievement of the Division’s goals and objectives.

This includes:

- Coordinating Divisional input to the annual TfNSW Delivery Plan, Annual Planning & Budgeting Quarterly Performance meetings and associated templates, monthly performance reporting and other planning and performance information requests including Annual Report and election commitment reporting ensuring adherence to the required timeframes and specifications.
- Leading the development and implement strategic planning and performance initiatives including conducting Branch and Divisional workshops
- Building and maintaining effective business partnerships and strategic alliances with the Division’s senior leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with NSW Government, Transport Cluster and TfNSW strategic direction, priorities and commitments.
- Working with stakeholders to develop appropriate performance indicators and undertake benchmarking of performance to monitor and report on the Division and TfNSW performance against business outcomes.
- Coordinating and undertaking the preparation of quality, accurate and often sensitive analyses, reports, briefings or positional papers to inform the Safety Environment and Regulation Senior Leadership Team.
- Enabling effective decision making and sound operational and business management by providing clear and concise reporting and papers - this will require a high level of collaboration with relevant others.
- Developing KPIs and measures enabling benchmarking of performance
- Developing papers and reports/ briefings in various formats to support the senior leadership team.

**About you**

We are looking for a professional with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills who has a strong background in reporting, planning and analysis.

You will be experienced dealing with executive level stakeholders with the ability to liaise with various operating Divisions of Transport for NSW and the Secretary’s office.

Previous experience in a reporting role where you have analysed, interpreted and collated the reports prepared by others into a consolidated format, providing commentary, highlighting appropriate issues and ensuring adherance to required frameworks is essential.

Your strong attention to detail and ability to read, analyse and synthesize information quickly will equip you well for this role.

Your ability to exercise judgement in the transfer of information and advice in support of goals and objectives is highly desirable as is your ability to identify and manage risk exposure and the implementation of appropriate solutions.

You will have excellent computer skills and be well versed in using tools including Excel, PowerPoint and Sharepoint.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 9 ($142,178 - $159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
