ERCE is an independent energy consulting group. ERCE’s multi-disciplinary team collaborates to find solutions and add value to the technical and commercial challenges given to us by clients for the evaluation of upstream energy projects. We are a dynamic group of individuals with a diverse range of experience and expertise encompassing graduates right through to the management team who have many years of experience in Oil and Gas and service companies.

We are looking for a Contract Paralegal to support our Singapore and Perth offices.

We are offering a competitive salary and we are happy to talk about any part time options. We are ideally looking for someone to work 24 hours per week but we can be flexible on hours and schedule.

Working in our Perth office, you will be part of our growing team in the region. Reporting to the Head of Business Support in the UK and working closely with the General Manager for APAC and the Country Manager for Australia. This role will be responsible for:

- Drafting and negotiating NDAs, MSAs, framework agreements and variation agreements.
- Reviewing and advising on project and client contracts, especially tender review contracts
- Providing advice on the legal implications of contract clauses and provisions to a team of Business Development Managers, Client Managers and Project managers
- Drafting and reviewing MoU’s
- Take on legal research specific to commercial contracts related to the oil and gas industry
- This role is 70% contract management
- Ensuring contracts are up to date and renewed when necessary
- Responding to internal ad-hoc contract legal queries
- Liaising with Company’s legal advisers as required
- Developing and updating legal templates
- Updating contract & risk registers

We are looking for someone with an appropriate legal qualification and experience in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualifications in either Law, Business, Procurement or Commerce.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contracts and commercial/legal principles.
- Proven track record in contracts review, development and negotiation
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a legal professional or contracts manager experience.
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with various contract types
