**The role**
The Management and Regulatory Accounting Lead is a key member of the Finance leadership team and critical in driving collaboration, autonomy and accountability in the team and across the broader organisation.
This role is primarily accountable for:
- Effective delivery and performance reporting of multiyear budgets and the provision of strategic and tactical advice and reports to the Executive team, Board of Directors, managers and responsible officers.
- Reports and advice on financial performance, economic regulation, price submission procedures and compliance with statutory obligations and regulations are key outputs.
- Managing and supporting a team of Management Accountants, ensuring the effective delivery of reliable, timely information to enable the organisation to make evidence-based decisions and optimise financial performance.
**What you’ll bring**
- Degree qualified (mandatory) with CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' management accounting experience.
- Demonstrated internal stakeholder management skills and ability to negotiate.
- Highly developed leadership, interpersonal and collaborative skills and ability to work with all levels of an organisation.
- Strong financial reporting, analytical and modelling skills and high proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Demonstrated critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for innovation and commitment to continuous improvement.

- Well-developed interpersonal skills which demonstrate the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organisation
- Demonstrated effective time management skills combined with the ability to prioritise in order to achieve high quality outcomes during times of peak activity.
- Outstanding knowledge and a high level of competence in Management Accounting, Budgeting, Financial Modelling and Data analytics and an understanding of complex economic regulatory management frameworks.
