Melbourne City Centre, Australia Building and Plumbing Commission Full time

**What we are looking for**
- Demonstrated domestic building experience including the interpretation of plans, specifications and other documentation which constitutes a domestic building contract for the purposes of assessing whether building work carried out is in accordance with the contract documentation and legislation and standards governing domestic building work
- Understanding and knowledge of the_ Building Act 1993_ and the associated regulations, _Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995_ and associated regulations, National Construction Code and associated Acts and Codes and the Guide to Standards and Tolerances.

**About the BPC**

The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing.

It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.

Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
