**About The Role**

Currently, we are searching for a number of dedicated and experienced **disability support workers**, for positions in the **Wyong** **area**. These roles involve assisting participants living with Epilepsy, Intellectual Disability and Mental Health challenges. Our Leaders and Managers will offer guidance, and you will have access to our online training platforms as required for your role. **About You**:

- Ideally, you will have prior experience in either aged care, supported independent living (SIL), in-home care (IHC), or community support settings, particularly with high-need participants
- Exceptional English skills in verbal and written communication
- Have experience working with clients who have complex needs
- Have experience with clients who have epilepsy, mental health and challenging behaviours
- Skilled in providing personalized support, including PEG feeding and pressure area care
- Experience in medication administration and CPAP machine operation
- A positive and adaptable attitude, combined with an eagerness to learn and grow
- Must be willing to provide personal care
- Must willing to work as part of a rotating roster including sleepover shifts
- Punctuality and reliability are essential qualities
- Proficient understanding of meal management plans and their implementation
- Ability to think creatively to solve problems independently
- Capable of working autonomously or collaboratively within a team

- Maintaining Hygiene Standards: Diligence in upholding high hygiene standards within living environments is a fundamental aspect of this role. This includes ensuring cleanliness and organization to ensure the health and well-being of our clients
- Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenging situations with composure are essential attributes. Support workers often encounter challenges requiring quick thinking and effective resolution

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Certificate in Community Services
- Unrestricted right to work in Australia
- Hold an NDIS Worker Screening Check (mandatory) (or willing to get one)
- Hold a current police check certificate (or be prepared to get one)
- A current First Aid Certificate (or be ready to get one)
- Hold a current Australian driver’s license and your own fully registered & insured vehicle
- Working With Children's Check (mandatory)

Pay: $24.99 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
