**About the Role...**
This is an exciting opportunity for a transport planning expert to join a professional and dedicated team to help develop one of South Australia’s fastest growing areas.
The position is responsible for providing strategic advice across the organisation on all matters relating to transport planning and road safety. The position has the opportunity to develop an integrated transport plan for the city that caters for all modes of transport, as well as managing complex and challenging infrastructure projects. The position develops and maintains strategic partnerships with other levels of government and the development industry and is responsible for seeking external grant funding. The position also provides specialist advice to Council to guide investment in transport infrastructure to help create a liveable, prosperous and happy city.
Incumbents in this position are required to possess a National Criminal History Clearance.

You will possess a dynamic and collaborative approach to your work, with a passion and commitment for delivering positive outcomes for the Community. You will possess tertiary qualifications in transport planning and/or traffic engineering, along with practical experience in the planning, coordination and delivery of infrastructure projects, such as road upgrades.
You will have the ability to engage effectively and negotiate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, provide advice and support in the areas of transport planning and infrastructure, and build trusted relationships across the organisation. You will also possess highly developed report writing skills.
