**About the team**
This role sits in the Safety, Environment and Regulation Division within the Security, Crisis and Emergency Management (SCEM) branch. Their main purpose and responsibility is to protect Transport for NSW, our people, our customers, our assets and the continued delivery of essential services for the people of NSW. SCEM aligns to the Safety, Environment and Regulation responsibility for connecting lives through safe, reliable and sustainable transport solutions. As such the branch plays a vital role in supporting Transport for NSW in making New South Wales a better place to safely live, work and visit.

**The opportunity**
Right now, we have an opportunity for an Emergency Planner to join us in the Emergency Management team within SCEM on a Fixed Term-Full Time contract for 12 months.
We are looking for a wide range of people to form a multi-disciplinary team including Risk Management and Profiling, Geospatial, Training and Exercising, Stakeholder Management, Logistics, Project Management, Data Management and Communications.
Your role contributes to the overall customer experience by supporting the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of emergency preparedness strategies and planning across the Transport portfolio. You will lead and support a wide range of projects across the state and provide emergency management expertise and insight to stakeholders.
This team activates from time to time to manage emergency response and recovery. As such the role may form part of an on-call roster and you may be required at times to do shift and weekend work including in Emergency Operations Centres, where in-person attendance may be required.

**About you**
You are a tertiary qualified or seasoned emergency management professional looking for an opportunity to manage activities to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies in line with the statutory responsibilities of Transport. You have emergency management experience and preferably previously worked in operation centres or in a multi-agency coordination setting. Ideally, you also have a strong grasp of project management, with the ability to manage and support multiple projects. You have strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills managing multiple stakeholders across various organisations.
**Salary and Benefits**
