Here at HSBC Australia, we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Third Party Engagement Management (TPEM) to join us in our Paramatta office - this team delivers services to our first line businesses and functions. This role will lead the operationalization and execution of Supplier Management (SM), Third Party Risk, Third Party Resilience and the effectiveness and efficiency of the services provided to HSBC. The role holder will interface with key businesses, functions and stakeholders to manage a team that supports third party management and controls, management information (MI) and analytics from a risk, supplier management, outsourcing, and criticality perspective. It also provides governance input to the Australian third-party governance forum.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build and motivate a capable, supportive, engaged and challenged local Third Party Engagement Management Team
- Responsible for objective setting, performance management and assisting with development for all direct reports
- Ensure team members are aware of, and execute against local framework and comply with risk and control management requirements
- Ensure team members undertake regular training to remain up to date with the requirements of their role
- Help steer team members, where required, to develop fully into their role, providing coaching and guidance as required.
- Create a team culture where openness and ideas are welcome and encouraged
- Contribute to local compensation and grade review process
- Own and manage the execution and delivery against any Audit, or assurance reviews that impact the role of TPEM
Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Continued development of technical knowledge to bring best practice ideas to the Business
- Strong understanding of operational risk and controls
- A good understanding of the Group’s Operational Risk Framework
- Proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions
- People management experience is desirable
- Significant experience of implementing control frameworks
