Northern Rivers Community Gateway is looking for a committed and community-focused NILs Loans Officer to join our Social and Financial Inclusion team in Lismore.
As part of our No Interest Loans Scheme (NILs) team, you’ll empower people experiencing financial hardship by helping them access safe, affordable credit and support services.

**About the role**
As a NILs Loans Officer, you will:
- Conduct face-to-face and remote loan interviews with clients
- Follow up on required documentation and liaise with Centrelink where needed
- Promote the NILs program and connect clients to other Community Gateway services
- Maintain accurate client records and meet reporting requirements
- Support loan clients who fall behind in repayments
You’ll be based in **Lismore**, but may occasionally travel across the NSW North Coast region.
**What we’re looking for**
**Essential**:
- A genuine understanding of the needs of people on low incomes
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in community services, finance or similar
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
- Proficient computer skills, especially in databases and Microsoft Office
**Desirable**:
- Experience in microfinance, loans, or financial support services
**Additional requirements**:
- Current NSW driver licence
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
