Our Federal Government client is seeking a
**Program/Policy Officer** who can commence ASAP

**About the role**:

- Contribute to program development, program policy design and implementation including providing sound judgement, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Contribute to drafting of high-quality program policy, planning and implementation documents and reports
- Develop and manage effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Represent the Department at key meetings or on key working groups, as required
- Project management, grant management and procurement management as needed

**Ideally you will have**:

- Qualifications and/or experience in soil science, climate, environment, agriculture, or natural resource management
- Experience with program and/or policy development/implementation including project and risk management
- Excellent written communication skills including experience with writing Ministerial briefs
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong judgement with an ability to quickly understand complex information
- An ability to quickly prioritize tasks, adapt to change and show flexibility and resilience
