Formed more than 25 years ago, Fuzzy creates incredible events and festivals in some of the most spectacular locations across Australia. Fuzzy also tours a large number of live acts and DJs from across the globe and Australia, often finding artists before they break it big globally.
Core events include the iconic New Year’s Day celebration, Field Day, and Sydney’s most breathtaking harbourside party, Harbourlife.
The plan for the future is more great parties and more good times done properly.
**POSITION OVERVIEW**
The Marketing Manager and Content Producer is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering marketing and content strategies for Fuzzy Operations, with a focus on digital, social, and live event content. This creative and hands-on role requires a deep understanding of music festivals and youth culture, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The role involves building and engaging vibrant online communities, amplifying brand presence, and capturing the live energy of Fuzzy events.
This position will also be responsible for managing the broader marketing, communications, and content team, including oversight of team performance, recruitment where required, and ensuring alignment across all channels. The team will report directly into this role.
Some work outside of standard business hours will be required, particularly during key campaign and event periods. Occasional interstate travel may also be required.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, digital media, and the live music scene, with a knack for real-time content creation and community building.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Marketing and Content Strategy**
- Develop and implement multi-channel marketing strategies to drive ticket sales, enhance brand visibility, and deepen audience engagement.
- Build and nurture vibrant online communities, setting the tone of voice across platforms including TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Utilise AI tools to streamline content creation, optimise engagement, and reach new audiences.
- Develop influencer hosting strategies and manage press invites to generate buzz around events.
- Prepare pre
- and post-event summaries using event data to inform future strategies.
- Integrate and manage third-party ticketing platforms to enhance the ticket purchasing experience and streamline event operations.
**Digital and Content Production**
- Manage the production of digital content, including live video, social media posts, and event coverage.
- Capture the live energy of events through real-time social media updates, live streaming, and on-the-ground coverage.
- Oversee website updates and content management.
- Build and send EDMs to engage audiences and drive ticket sales.
**Audience and Community Engagement**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, sponsors, and other key stakeholders.
- Develop strategies to increase audience reach, retention, and loyalty.
- Use data and analytics to refine campaigns and improve ROI.
- Create engaging, shareable content that resonates with festival audiences.
- Drive audience growth by experimenting with emerging platforms and trends.
**Event Support**
- Support the planning and execution of Fuzzy Operations events, including launches, media previews, and major activations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and marketing support.
**Reporting and Analysis**
- Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
- Use data insights to refine marketing strategies and improve ROI.
- Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership.
**Work, Health, and Safety (WHS)**

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
**Essential**
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in digital marketing and content production.
- Strong project management skills, including budget oversight and deadline management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience building and engaging vibrant online communities.
- Adept at using social platforms, including TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Ability to capture the energy of live events for digital audiences.
- Experience using AI tools to streamline content creation.
- Experience with live video and real-time social media updates.
- Experience with third-party ticketing platforms and audience data management.
- Experience managing a high performing team.
**Desirable**
- Experience in the music, arts, or creative industries.
- Knowledge of CRM tools and platforms.
**APPLICATION PROCESS**
Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
