As the Functions and Events Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our customer's experience at our newly renovated venue. You’ll work alongside a dynamic team, ensuring flawless execution of functions, events, and large bookings from start to finish.
**What You’ll Do**:
- ** Event Coordination**: Meet with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored package options, and ensure all details are meticulously planned and executed.
Respond to all enquiries promptly.
- ** Logistics Management**: Arrange and coordinate services such as displays, audio-visual equipment, and catering. Create and revise event floor plans and orders.
Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth event operations.
- ** Team Leadership**: Brief and supervise front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient event execution. Act as the primary point of contact for clients during events.
Train and motivate staff to deliver premium service and uphold high food and beverage standards.
- ** Client Relations**: Build strong rapport with clients, address their needs promptly, and ensure complete satisfaction before, during, and after events. Ensure exceptional customer service, focusing on adaptability and quick problem-solving. Build and maintain strong client relationships while generating new sales leads.
- ** Financial Management**: Oversee event budgets, ensure accurate invoicing, and manage departmental expenses.
- ** Marketing & Promotion**: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and special offers via social media and other channels. Execute events with precision, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded every time to promote word of mouth.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- A proactive leader with a passion for hospitality and events.
- Minimum five years experience in similar roles.
- Strong commercial understanding and the ability to drive sales and ensure repeat clientele through word of mouth and innovative ideas.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, as well as the ability to learn and use multiple software systems to increase workflow and efficiency.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Experience in managing large-scale events and functions, e.g. 200+ people
- RSA and RP Badge
- Availability to work five shifts per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Applicants must live in/around Adelaide and be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
