The K-10 Curriculum and Assessment Branch is part of the QCAA's Curriculum Services Division and is responsible for:
- delivery of professional development to support implementation of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and P-10 Australian Curriculum
- the development of support resources and delivery of professional learning for the P-10 Australian Curriculum including the learning areas, cross-curriculum priorities, and general capabilities.
Main responsibilities
**The Principal Project Officer**: Primary English provides schools with advice, resources and professional learning to support the implementation of the P-10 Australian Curriculum.
**In this role, you will**:
- Lead and participate in project teams to develop P-6 curriculum, teaching and learning and assessment advice, resources and professional learning aligned to Version 9.0 of the Australian Curriculum.
- Provide expert advice to Managers and the Director on issues related to curriculum, teaching and learning and assessment, particularly in a primary school context with a main focus on Australian Curriculum: English.
- Develop professional resources for Queensland teachers and key stakeholders through a range of modes to support implementation of v9.0 of the Australian Curriculum.
- Prepare briefings and correspondence and answer enquiries.
- Lead and manage projects independently and collaboratively within timelines, using allocated resources.
- Lead consultation with a range of stakeholders to inform the development of advice, resources and professional learning.
- Liaise professionally with educational agencies, and a range of stakeholders on projects.
- Communicate and participate effectively in forums, workshops and educational networks in relation to the work of the Branch.
- Contribute to a change management and performance development culture by participating in regular two-way feedback discussions with your manager and colleagues, and through the implementation of an individual Performance and Development Plan (PDP).
- Undertake specific tasks as required to assist the QCAA in achieving its business outcomes, including using data to inform decisions.
