**Your Role**:
As the **First Nations Engagement Coordinator **your main responsibility will be to support the Manager First Nations Engagement in all duties with the implementation of engagement activities to support positive partnerships between Aboriginal organisations and communities and the Society. At Vinnies NSW, roughly 1 in 4 people who come to us for assistance, identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. This role plays an important part in guiding, supporting and nurturing our network to promote cultural safety with not only our staff, but the people we assist.

**Your Responsibility**:

- Support implementation of the Society’s **Reconciliation Action** **Plan (RAP)** across all directorates and regions and help embed a commitment to reconciliation across our organisation.
- Support the Society’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Group.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on key deliverables.
- Support the maintenance of a vibrant organisation-wide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff network.
- Help prepare workplaces to provide culturally supportive work environments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees.

**You Will Need**:

- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience developing collaborative relationships with Aboriginal people and high-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in the development, management and evaluation of successful Aboriginal employment programs.
- Ability to manage projects and demonstrated experience coordinating, mentoring and managing small groups.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to prepare a variety of reports.
- A commitment to and a deep understanding of the Vision, Mission and Values of the Society and those accessing its services
