Project Financial Modeller opportunity with the WA government.

**Your new company**

Hays are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a level 6 or 7 Financial Modeller to join a large WA state government department to assist with an important project. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Analysis, the role predominantly assists with analysis and review of the department's current complex financial models.

The role is based in East Perth and is a 3-month temporary contract starting as soon as possible.

**Your new role**
- Seek improvements by simplifying models and increasing transparency
- Add dashboard views to review summary and exporting journals
- Map out the models and write relevant policy, procedures and guidance.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Advanced Excel skills essential
- Power query experience is required
- Power BI is preferred
- Undertake background checks (including gaining NPC) as per department requirements
- A CPA /CA or equivalent qualification is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication
